English Day Badia 2012

On Monday all Badia 5th graders (5è Munyeira, 5è Seguidilles, 5A and 5B la Sardana, 5A and 5B la Jota) had the English Day together in the playground of la Sardana and la Jota.
It was sunny and we had a lot of fun playing in English together. Here you can see some photos:

El Principito

Un dels grups de treball del projecte AVAC és el club de lectura. Aquest grup (mares de l'escola) ha gaudit de la lectura i la posterior reflexió del llibre "El Petit Príncep" al llarg de dos cursos. Finalment han fet una adaptació teatral de l'obra i la van representar davant dels alumnes i dels mestres de l'escola la Jota. Aquest projecte de teatre està relacionat amb la feina sobre el Petit Príncep i l'amistat realitzada pels alumnes de cicle superior.

A working group from the AVAC (Aprenem a Viure, Aprenem a Conviure / Learn to Live, Learn to Coexist) project is the reading group. This group (mothers of the school) has enjoyed the reading and reflexion of the book "The Little Prince" through the last two years. Finally they adapted the book and prepared a theatre play for the kids and the teachers of the school la Jota. This theatre project is related to the activities about the Little Prince and friendship by the students of 5th and 6th form.

The Little Prince Project

Aquest tercer trimestre al Cicle Superior (cinquè i sisè) estem treballant en un projecte europeu. L’escola La Jota participa del projecte Comenius “European Teachers Synthesize” creat per diferents universitats europees.


Al llarg d’aquest tercer trimestre treballarem amb tres escoles més (una dels Països Baixos, una d’Àustria i una de Letònia) en un projecte comú. Es tracta d’un projecte de lectura d’una part del llibre “El Petit Príncep”. Totes les activitats es duran a terme en anglès i les penjarem a una web comuna a les quatre escoles.

Els objectius d’aquest projecte són diferents. Per una banda està la motivació per la lectura dels nostres alumnes i la millora de les seves competències lectores. Per l’altra, veurem les diferències i similituds que hi ha entre el que entenem per amistat a diferents països. Es pretén donar una visió més global als nostres alumnes i permetre que estiguin en contacte (fotos, mails, activitats, etc.) amb alumnes d’altres nacionalitats.

La llengua vehicular del projecte serà l’anglès tot i que farem activitats per veure les diferències i les similituds entre el català, el neerlandès, l’alemany, el letó i l’anglès.

This term the groups of 5th and 6th form are working in an European project. L’escola La Jota takes part in the Comenius project called “European Teachers Synthesize”. It is created by different European universities.


During this term we will be working with three other schools (one form the Netherlands, one from Austria and one from Latvia). It is a project about reading a part of “The Little Prince”. All the activities will be done in English and wil be uploaded into a web for the four schools.

There are different goals in this project. In one hand, there is the motivation for reading and the improvement of their reading skills. On the other hand, we will observe the differences and similarities according to friendship that we can find in different countries.We want to give our students a global vision and allow them to be in contact (using pictures, mails, activities, etc.) with students from other countries.

The language used in the project will be English although we will do activities to see the differences and similarities between Catalan, Dutch, German, Latvian and English.

English Day

Aquest divendres 13 de maig les quatre escoles de Badia fem l'English Day. Per grups (tots els cinquès barrejats), farem una sèrie de proves en anglès. A més a més, cada classe farà una petita actiació. Grups de l'Escola la Jota

On Friday 13th May, the four schools in Badia are doing the English Day. In groups (all 5th forms mixed), we will do activities in English. In addition, every class will do a performance too. La Jota's groups.
